3L ties for ‘Best Mediator’ award in tournament

A 3L at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Amanda Parker, tied for the “Best Mediator” award at the Great Lakes Mediation Tournament, held March 2-3 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Parker and her teammates – 3Ls Brittany Doggett and Whitney Siehl and 2L Mingzi Ouyang (alternate) – competed in the weekend-long competition. It started with a mediation clinic on Friday, taught by leading mediators and trainers, and two days of simulated mediations.
Teams were judged both as client/advocate pairs and as mediators (co-mediating with a student from another school), and a special emphasis was placed on skill in leading mediations.
