Owned by The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and operated by the OSU Faculty Club, the Barrister Club was created to house programming for students and alumni, as well as special events for the College, the University, and other outside groups. The $2.2 million facility is funded by private donations; no tuition dollars have been used in its construction or outfitting.
The Club is the site of the Mentoring and More @ Moritz program, which places Moritz students in mentoring relationships with practicing attorneys whose careers reflect the highest ideals of the profession. It also hosts reunions and tailgates during the football season, symposia, and conferences for the Moritz College of Law.
The Club is also available for private gatherings and can be booked through the Faculty Club. Tucked into the heart of the bustling new South Campus Gateway, the Barrister Club is just blocks from the Drexel Gateway Theater, the Wexner Center for the Arts, and OSU's Weigel Hall, making it the ideal location for events associated with art shows, concerts and movies.
Overlooking restaurants and boutiques on High Street, this Arts & Crafts-inspired facility is warm and inviting, but also boasts high-tech presentation technology. Perfect for weddings and family celebrations as well as for business meetings, the entire Club is handicap-accessible.
